1. Voting Rules & Policy

1.1 Voting Cost: Each vote cast on the Velvet Majesty Pageantry 2026 platform costs ₦100 (One Hundred Naira) per vote. There is no minimum or maximum limit on the number of votes a supporter may purchase for a contestant.

1.2 Payment Required: Votes are only counted upon successful completion of payment. Votes that have not been paid for will not be reflected in any contestant’s tally. Clicking “Vote” without completing the payment simulation does not constitute a valid vote.

1.3 Non-Refundable Votes: All votes purchased are final and non-refundable under any circumstances, including but not limited to: change of mind, contestant disqualification, event cancellation (subject to force majeure provisions), or technical errors attributable to the voter’s device.

1.4 Vote Counting: Votes are tallied in real-time and reflected on contestant profiles immediately following successful payment processing. Velvet Majesty Pageantry reserves the right to audit and verify vote counts at any time.

1.5 Fair Voting Policy: All forms of vote manipulation, including but not limited to: automated voting scripts, proxy voting, collusive voting rings, or exploitation of technical vulnerabilities, are strictly prohibited. Accounts found engaging in fraudulent voting will be banned, and affected votes will be voided without refund.

1.6 Voting Deadline: The public voting period closes on December 14, 2026 at 11:59pm WAT. Votes submitted after this deadline will not be counted.

• Votes are non-refundable after payment confirmation
• No automated or fraudulent voting is permitted
• Velvet Majesty reserves the right to audit all vote tallies

2. Payment Policy

2.1 Payment Processing: All payments are processed through secure payment gateways (Paystack or Flutterwave). Velvet Majesty Pageantry does not store your card details. Payment data is encrypted and handled by our payment partners.

2.2 Failed Transactions: In the event of a failed transaction, votes will not be credited. Supporters are advised to retry the payment. If an amount is debited without votes being credited, please contact us at support@velvetmajesty.ng within 48 hours with your transaction reference.

2.3 Currency: All transactions are processed in Nigerian Naira (₦). International payment cards may be subject to foreign transaction fees charged by the cardholder’s bank.

2.4 Receipts: A transaction confirmation will be displayed upon successful payment. Email receipts may be sent where provided.

3. Contestant Eligibility & Conduct

3.1 Eligibility: All contestants must be female, Nigerian citizens, aged 18–35 at the time of application, unmarried, and of good character. The organizing committee reserves the right to verify any information submitted.

3.2 Disqualification: Organizers reserve the right to disqualify any contestant at any time, without prior notice, for reasons including but not limited to: submission of false or misleading information, conduct unbecoming of the pageant’s values, breach of these Terms & Conditions, criminal conviction, or any action that brings the pageant into disrepute.

3.3 Disqualification & Votes: In the event a contestant is disqualified, votes already cast for that contestant are not refundable. Velvet Majesty Pageantry holds no liability for votes cast for disqualified contestants.

3.4 Image Rights: By registering, contestants grant Velvet Majesty Pageantry a royalty-free, worldwide licence to use their name, likeness, image, and biographical information for promotional and marketing purposes during and after the competition.

4. Privacy Notice

4.1 Data Collection: We collect personal information (name, email, phone, state, photograph) during registration and contact form submissions solely for the purpose of administering the competition and communicating with participants.

4.2 Data Use: Your personal data will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes without your explicit consent. We may share data with necessary service providers (e.g., payment processors) bound by confidentiality agreements.

4.3 Data Storage: Voter preferences and contestant data are stored using localStorage in your browser for the purposes of this demonstration. In a live production environment, data would be stored on secure servers compliant with Nigeria’s NDPR (Nigeria Data Protection Regulation).

4.4 Your Rights: You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at privacy@velvetmajesty.ng.

5. General Terms

5.1 Amendments: Velvet Majesty Pageantry reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updated terms will be published on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the amended terms.

5.2 Governing Law: These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Nigerian courts.

5.3 Limitation of Liability: Velvet Majesty Pageantry shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in or use of the voting platform, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

5.4 Force Majeure: We shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, government actions, or internet infrastructure failures.

5.5 Contact for Disputes: Any complaints or disputes relating to voting, payment, or contestant conduct should be directed to legal@velvetmajesty.ng. We aim to respond within 5 working days.

5.6 Acceptance: By using this platform, casting a vote, submitting a registration, or otherwise participating in Velvet Majesty Pageantry 2026, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions in their entirety.
