Nigeria’s Premier Pageantry Experience

Founded in 2018, Velvet Majesty Pageantry has grown from a regional talent showcase into Nigeria’s most anticipated and respected pageantry event. We believe that the modern African queen is more than her beauty — she is a changemaker, a thought leader, and an inspiration to her community.

Each year, we bring together women from all 36 states of Nigeria who embody our core values: purpose, grace, intelligence, and service. Our platform gives them a national stage to share their stories, advocate for their causes, and compete for one of Nigeria’s most coveted crowns.

The winner of Velvet Majesty receives a scholarship, a cash prize, a one-year ambassadorial role, and a platform that reaches millions across Africa. Past winners have gone on to lead NGOs, run businesses, and represent Nigeria on the global stage.

January – March 2026
Applications Open
Contestants from all 36 states submit their applications online.

April – June 2026
Selection & Shortlisting
Our panel reviews applications and invites shortlisted candidates for interviews.

July – November 2026
Voting Period Opens
Contestants are announced publicly. Fan voting begins at ₦100 per vote.

December 15, 2026
Grand Finale — Eko Hotel, Lagos
The spectacular Grand Finale where Velvet Majesty 2026 is crowned live before thousands.
